Founded in 1820, the Albert Morot estate embodies the very soul of Beaune’s great terroirs.
Spread across 8 hectares cultivated using organic farming practices, the estate produces pure, finely structured wines from emblematic climats such as Bressandes, Grèves, Teurons, as well as Marconnets, Cent-Vignes, Toussaints, and Aigrots.
The estate also tends to a rare jewel: Clos de la Bataillères, a monopole of approximately 2 hectares classified as Savigny-Vergelesses Premier Cru.
A limited production of Pommard, Auxey-Duresses, Meursault, Bourgogne Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir completes the domaine’s portfolio.
In 2023, the family group led by Guillaume and Sophie Poitrinal acquired this historic estate, driven by a desire to unite heritage with modernity. Significant modernization works have been carried out in both the winery and the château to optimize every stage of crafting great wines.
The new owners appointed Rhône winemaker Pierre-Jean Villa to oversee the future of the estate and infuse it with renewed momentum.
