Founded in 1820, the Albert Morot estate embodies the very essence of Beaune’s great terroirs.
Spanning 8 hectares cultivated using organic farming practices, the domaine produces wines of purity and finesse from some of the most emblematic climats of the appellation, including Bressandes, Grèves, Teurons, as well as Marconnets, Cent-Vignes, Toussaints, and Aigrots.
The estate also nurtures a rare jewel: Clos de la Bataillères, an approximately 2-hectare monopole classified as Savigny-Vergelesses Premier Cru.
A limited production of Pommard, Auxey-Duresses, Meursault, Bourgogne Chardonnay, and Bourgogne Pinot Noir completes the domaine’s portfolio.
In 2023, this historic property was acquired by the family group led by Guillaume and Sophie Poitrinal, inspired by a vision that unites respect for heritage with a contemporary approach. Extensive modernization work has since been undertaken in both the winery and the château to enhance every stage of winemaking.
To guide this new chapter, the owners appointed renowned Rhône Valley winemaker Pierre-Jean Villa, bringing fresh energy and a clear, ambitious direction to the future of the estate.
